Removing Side turn signal?

I did search, and found a thread of a guy asking the same question but he didnt get an answer either.

Do I just use a flat head screwdriver or butterknife to wedge it out?

Sure. There is a small clip that holds it in on one side. You depress the clip and out it comes.

You have to remove the front tire and take out the plastic clips in the wheel well to get to the back of the signal.

^^ Thats only for the side reflector, not the side signal. And you only have to take out the headlight, not the tire and plastic pieces.

dont just use a flat head screw driver, u might scratch ur car when prying. Wrap the screw driver with a soft cloth. Also, pry from the rear side (closer to the rear of the car) because thats the side where the clips are.
But i actually used an index card and slipped it between the gap of the car and the side marker and then pull. It works better for me.

On my 02 OZ the side signal was taken off like that...the 04 is different, but Im not sure by how much. I replaced the side marker as it was called with an aftermarket one with leds. it wasnt only a reflector considering there was a light and a wire harness along with it.

Are you talking about the one underneath the mirror? I've changed my bulbs in my 03 OZ one three times and I never had to take my tire off.

Actually, i saw a diagram which recommends removal with screwdriver and soft cloth, i broke a piece off of it tho on top of drivers side.... and it wouldn't stay connected to the grey piece... so we took it over to the passenger side, so the broken piece would face down... worked great, ( used 8115 to glue grey plastic to clear lense...)

Yeah, I changed the bulbs to hyperwhite, back to amber, then back to hyperwhite, but then failed inspection, so I had to change it back to amber.

if you look in the owner's manual, it will tell you to place a rag behind a flathead screwdriver, so that you dont scratch the paint, and pop it loose. hope that helps you .

I changed mine to blue. Thankfully it's not illegal in South Carolina. Or if it is, every cop that has seen in it in the almost year I've been here they haven't pulled me.
