oh man, you SCRAPED the chrome off? i bet that took quite some time. the only time i ended up scraping mine was when i put the wrong paint on and i was removing it. when i painted it right all i did was throw on 2-3 coats of primer and then 3 coats of base followed by 2 coats of clearcoat.

yeh well "I" didnt scrape it off. My room-mate who doesnt have anything else better to do scrapped it off for me. lol.

i got the mesh all cut out to shape though, so im gonna give the grill 2 coats of primer, a coat of black. i already gave the mesh a coat of primer and black.

so then i stick the mesh on with my 2part epoxy, and give it all one final black coat.
Im using low-gloss black engine paint.
I will upload photos when i get done.

make sure you don't use the engine paint that has ceramic in it, i used that the first time and it ended up giving the grill a nasty texture. definitely not ribbed for her pleasure.

I have a stock grill for sale. $25 + Shipping. This would be great for the guys who want to take there time painting the grill and still be able to drive around with the stock until the painted one is done.
