Headlight painting

I seen that there's a few threads showing how to blackout ur headlights by painting them black. My question is would the headlights work the same way if I were to paint them white instead(my car's white). Thkx!

agreed.

i got nervous prying the thing open when i had them out of the car so i backed off and didn't do the mod.

i ought to do mine yellow, heh. we'll see how nice it looks white though. i've never seen anything besides black before.

Yellow has been done. it looks great. imo. heres pics that I found on here for yah.

heres my blacked out ones on red. Im kinda whoreing them right now but its ok.

Some guys have been worried about doing white because it may look real close to the chrome.. I bet it will look awsome.
If you heat them in the oven long enouph, once you get the black tabs away from the lense it practically pulls itself off. Its real hot so it gets tricky trying to keep your hands on it while yanking it off. With two people its REAL easy.

The directions are fool proof. Follow them. Just make for darn sure that when you put the light in the oven its not touching anywhere but the cookiesheet with the wet towel. No risk. Bake them back together and put a bead of RTV around the seam and you will have no leaks.
