Installing a pod filter

Sorry, if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything, please redirect me if there's a thread relating to this..

Anyway, so I want to start getting my hands dirty and get to know with my car, first's first, changing my air filter. I decided to change to a pod filter (please don't comment on how rice this is, I know how rice it is, but i have my reasons). So I took out the original filter box.

But the problem is, how do I attach the pod filter onto it?

just a note: I am not using that pod filter, that one's stuffed. I've got a different one waiting to come.

Can anyone help me out? By the way, when I do change to a pod filter, will that computer that u see on the photo get confused? I heard if it's stuffed, the car wont start.

You have to get a maf adapter. Its pretty much a plate with 4 holes in it so you can bolt it to the mass airflow sensor and then you get a big hose clamp and clamp the filter to the maf adapter.

You will need an adapter like this one that AMS sells as a kit, with the adapter and filter

http://www.amsperformance.com/store/...roducts_id=170

you could probably call them up and see if they will just sell you the adapter only. Or find another vender on here that just sells the adapter.

Another good idea would be to just get a new intake.

Ebay it! I think I got mine for $7 shipped.

Just to let you know though, and Mitsubishi MAF adapter is the same size.... even Autozone (a local parts store) carries this piece...... but it's like $30!!!! what a rip!

yeah just find the MAF adaptor. You don't need a whole intake unless you want cold air intake. And no worries, its not rice. Its the best option.
