lol crypto, I'm sure you'll find someone to be your guinea pig. I think RPW removed it from their website cause I cant find it any more. But it used to be here: www.rpw.com.au. For the intakes, both are good, but short ram you get better throttle response. Some intake filters allow you to attach a hose to the end and run in down to somewhere cold. That way you get the short ram in the engine bay then some cold air from a lower point.

there are a couple of others, do a search.
A quad throttle body is gonna be alot of work though.

you can make your own... you dont have to settle for a vented hood.. thats just more $$ you can save for turbo... relocate you battery to the trunk 1st (do a search "battery relocation").... once you have done that.. you will see a whole bunch of room in your hood and you can run pipes down to where the fog lights would go.
im still not convinced it will. If it created a problem i know they wouldn't fix it, but i've been reading over warranty laws n stuff and unless it directly causes a problem or is the problem, it cant void my warranty. Eg. they cant refuse to fix my suspension because i have it on.
but say something went wrong with my intake manifold, then they could refuse to do it.
and yes.......i do have wet dreams about it. lol

unless your dealer is a dick it would be ok. My dealer would think its cool and ask me about it. But yeah, they really dont care about warranty stuff unless its in the general area. Like engine, transmission, suspension, etc. I just tell them whats wrong with my car and they ask if its under warranty and i say yeah and they fix it. You shouldn't have a problem. and you probably wont have any issues that need to be fixed by the dealer.

Hey crypto if you go with then quad you will need a standalone engine management system. You sure the dealership wont mind when they find that out?
Go to this link. I know its about evos but Mitsubishi has no problem voiding warranties.http://www.caranddriver.com/carnews/...ejections.html

technically you don't need a standalone if you don't plan on retuning every other day. You can get a $90 cable and purchase and download $20 software and have a tuner "reflash" your stock ecu, it works just like a standalone. I'll go find the link, I think you've all seen it though.

yeh i read that, but the amount of air taken in increases so much even piggy backs and tunning software wont work, it says on the RPW site. A standalone is a must.
I know mitsu have a rep of refusing warranties. But my dealer seems cool. I have an intake, and i just had to have the Cat converter replaced cos it burned out (p0421 code)
they could quite of easily said its not covered under warranty cos of the intake, more powerful engine, etc....
but they didnt say a thing. The guy infact went out of his way to make sure i didnt have to pay a penny. They even offered to do my timing belt when they saw it sitting in the back seat of my car. (i declined, i dont wanna pay $400)
I can understand they aren't gonna cover me for anything that is caused by the increased power. But by law they have to fix it under warranty unless the quad or stand alone caused the problem.
I read a news article about it the other week, the government are starting to clamp down on dealers with warranty issues.
I will check with my dealer before i do it, but im fairly confident it will be fine. Also there are no emmission laws in florida, so that isnt a problem either.

unless we are talking about transmission or motor issues.. the word warranty is a complete joke! its a great substitute for toilet paper if u know what im sayin'.... 9 times out of 10 mitsu wont even honor your "warranty" if you've been around longer you would know about the sh8t they pull when it comes time for them to pay up!

hmmm ok, that cool.
personally i don't think i would want to take the time and effort to do that, esspecially from such little gains.
as far as warranties go, im actually going to the dealership soon to get my suspension looked at (clunking noise). I checked my warranty policy and it should be covered. I guess it just depends on the dealership, i know the one here is pretty laid back, there are A LOT of tuned/modified cars around here, so i think they are a bit more open to helping than most other areas.
