Im sorry but, you Pick up an rallifart for 12k, drop another 7k into it, and only be as fast as the slowest evo? Why not just buy an evo and save your money?

? Firstly we're talking about an OZ here. Secondly, some of us can't afford/even buy an evo, so that's not an option. Thirdly, if you take the price of the car and the price of the mods, you're still not even at the cost of a good used evo.

i pay 198 a month for my insurance, and my car payment is 401 for 42 months. Given Your right, its not for everyone, but too the avid OZ driver/enthusist who spends there money turboing, modifying your lancer.... Your not too far shy of buying a used Evo.

You cant argue with Math i'll Price it out for you. be back in 10 min.

Well for a lot of us the lancer is our first car, implying we are young. Even if I could afford an evo (which there's no chance in hell of) I couldn't have one since I'm in Canuckistan. You also have to take into account the cost of gas (not a major point if you turbo an OZ but something to consider nonetheless), maintenance, insurance and just the general cost of the car.

i meant, i saw someone on evolutionm that claimed to own the fastest oz, who was it? Another question tho is how much HP gain is there in a turbo for the OZ? And would it screw up the engine after a bit?? Cost for turbo??

It could be Omar, Rob (from RRM), imapunkclaimer (his is pretty fast), it could be anyone really. As for the rest, search, we have a forced induction subforum in the lancer forum for a reason. There's too many variables to tell you how much HP a turbo will give (as if it was a bolt on part ), it could be anywhere from 50 hp to 150 hp.
