Same here I dont think its gonna be like VTEC at 4500 RPM like get a boost . Even with the newer Hondas with the K20 iVTECH you dont feel a VTECH kick in. With the MIVEC I beleive it varies continuosly so you dont get a pronounced MIVEC chip in feeling . Anybody else agree.

Ohh and when you get those HID let me know how it goes I want some too.

I have the 5-speed and mines kick in at around 3500- 4000 rpm. I was surprised on the kick compared to the vtec.

totally noticable at full throttle around 4,000 RPM, but when not at full throttle not to noticable.

I mean no disrespect as this is just my opinion but I really need to know if you've driven a Honda/Acura with the K20 engine in it? I was once the proud owner of an 02 RSX Type-S and I could easily feel the IVTEC (not IVTECH) kick in around 4-5k or so. I have also driven an 07 Civic SI and had the same experience (same engine). Again, I mean no disrespect - I love my 08 GTS and while I believe the horsepower rating is subpar I'm completely in love with it.

The difference in acceleration between anything below 4.4 and anything above it (when mivec kicks in) is insane, the car goes from vroom... to VRRROOOOOMMM it screams literally.... stop babying the beast and try it for yourself, you wont blow up your car FFS, it has a limiter if anything.

One thing you can really notice is from a stop. You accelerate, its moderate, then it hits 4krpm and takes off. from 1krpm-3krpm, i hate the car.. then i love it once it hits 4krpm, i dont know about everyone else but the difference to me is night and day.

I've red lined it a few times upon forgetting to shift and all it does is stop all acceleration and causes the car to coast basically until you shift up, but once you do its off to the races again instantly which could possibly cause engine damage, so if you do red line it i suggest easing off, then shifting so the RPMs can drop just alittle bit more.

The best is that new engine smell when you tear it up, mmm such a smell that makes you think you HAD to have broken something... itll fade after about 200miles.

BTW i drive a CVT.

Not to mention the sweet smell of breaking in the suspension on hard turns, or corners. I must say, the first 500 miles of my car were just soft starts, and easy on the brakes.

After 500 miles, from time to time up until 1000 miles I broke in the suspension, brakes, and engine a little more by hitting a brakes a little harder, revving up a little higher, and making hard or instant turns with the car. Not ONCE have I dragged my *** or lost traction. The suspension is really good for those who know how to make turns.

Not to mention MIVEC, and its capability over 3500 rpm. It does drag a bit between 1st and 2nd, but picks up really quick with individuals who know how and when to shift.

The car overall has satisfied me in all fields, including emissions! and gas mileage when traveling.
