do a search man... seriously. search forced induction section. tons of info on this..

Basically... Intercooling is better. turbo gets cooler air which meens, a lot more power. It will also run cooler.

It all depends on the size of the turbo. If it's running low on the efficiency map then the turbo wont heat up much at all. Intercoolers bring the inlet air temp down to near ambient temp.

Some turbo kits do not benefit much from an intercooler, and the added lag isn't worth it. It all depends on the characteristics of the turbo and how much boost you will be running.

intercooler cools the air after the turbo and before it enters the TB. Colder air means denser air means more fuel means more power and less prone to knock that kills motors.

i would never own a turbo car without an intercooler.

Yeah, though cars can and do run w/o an ic...I'd never run one like that. EVER!

With an intercooler you generally lose 1-2 PSI in the actual core of the intercooler. This is made up by air that is much cooler. Imagine a hot summer day vs. a cool night and how much better the car feels when it is cooler. Now multiply that by a few times and that is what an intercooler is doing.

This is a basic tenant of turbocharging (or forced induction in general), no one has asked it here (at least not in it's own thread) in some time because the answer can be found in 30 seconds using a google search. An intercooler lowers the temperature of the intake charge which results in more power. On a car like the lancer where the engine is weak from the factory I would not recommend turbocharging without using an intercooler.

NEWB!!

You asked whats the difference between Intercooled, and NON.

Lancers don't come turboed so why just stop searching on a NON turboed car.

Search around forums, and read! Many members on here are turboed, and have both. Non and intercooled. Compare. Stop being LAZY!

This has been everywhere, even RRM show a HP increase on their Intercooled kits over their NON. Why, ummm common sense. Maybe more boost? Call them, they are GREAT costumer service!

Oh by the way, Welcome. I'm David

Really, cause I don't even need to research this topic and I found a useful article right away. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intercooler
