Sylvania SilverStar Hyper Whites

Few questions about them since they were mentioned in another post:

1) How much brighter would the SilverStar or even SilverStar Ultras be compared to our stock lights?

2) Which model/size would i need? IIRC its something like 9007? but what i see is
Part No. 9007STT-WIN on Advance Auto Parts website for example.

I can't answer either question, but I can say that Silverstars go in every car I've owned.

Best lighting upgrade for your dollar by far if your stock lamps aren't super bright.

Yeah, id gladly pay $35-40 for both bulbs if the non-ultra's are brighter than my stock bulbs! Just gotta get someones opinion or factual evidence to this before i go out and buy them.

GTS, i dont think you go, hawkeye is actually using these right now. He said he hasnt had any problems but made no mention to having to change anything.

I just looked at the bulb list and apparently ours is 9005.. so whats the diff between 9005 and 9007?

No wiring harness upgrade is needed! Like was stated earlier, these go into every car I own! and I still only have the non-ultras still. Plus, Sylvania's customer service was great too! Had a pre-mature filment failure and they sent to two to replace the one I sent them! They're A-okay in my book...

Different bulbs totally. Don't try to mix-n-match.

Silverstars

I had an 04 Lancer before I got my 08 GTS and I put the regular Silverstar bulbs in... BIG, BIG difference in color and brightness. I am getting the Silverstar Ultras this weekend. If I can figure out which bulb it is... 9005 or 9007

ya they are 9006, i got some ultras yesterday and put em in. Definitely better all around. It's whiter and a fair bit brighter. Which is good cuz i really don't think the stock bulbs were too great.

I've had SS Ultras in my car since day 1.

Better light output, cleaner light and they just look good. No upgrades to harness or wire needed; I've had them in just about every car I've had (SS or SS Ultra) and have never burnt a wire.

Definitely worth the 50 or so bucks.

SS Ultra are a must

I have the SS ULTRA 9006. It takes literally 20 seconds to change them out and they are a heck of a lot cleaner, brighter looking. The stock lights are yellow and the SS ULTRA are white, the way they should be. Once you put the 9006s in you will instantly want to swap out the fogs and highs. Ill post a night shot of the SS ULTRA later this evening.

Further more, the stock DRL look really yellow. The SS ULTRAs make them white without being full on headlights. Its a 2008! It should look like a 2008 with sharp, white accents.
