Hey all. Just got a my brand spanking new black GTS 08' with S/S. I was wondering if anyone had been shopping around for winter mats. I managed to get the dealer to include the mats in the sale, but since they didn't have any he suggested I go buy my own and bring them the receipt. Any thoughts?

 

I had a set of universal floor mats in my 08 lancer, but the fitment was extremely ****ty. I decided to order a set of Mitsubishi OEM floor mats for the lancer, so the fit was perfect.

Universal mats in the 08 lancer just don't fit all that great.

 

Does anyone know if and when the all-season mats will be available? Canadian winters + carpeted mats = ugly-*** car.

 

costco near my house has these Michelin mats and they can be cut to various shapes and a big and heavy for catching lots of liquid/dirt. I don't know if they will fit but I might try soon.

 

yeah ive seen those michelin mats and i think im gonna pick them up when i get my snows put on at sears. i will let you guys know how they fit or whatever i end up picking. i really wish they had them specifically for our cars but i have yet to find those.

 

Just an FYI: I called my dealer yesterday and was told the OEM all-weather mats aren't available at the moment

Anybody else heard this?

 

I got the above all-weather mats from ebay. They come with grips on the bottom so they dont slide about. Although they are a custom-fit for the 2008 Lancer anyway, and fit like a glove. My flooring underneath has remained absolutely spotless despite bringing all kinds of mud/slush/snow. They come in 4 colors too. Not overly thick or heavy either. So I would definitely recommend them for sure.

Hey atleast you guys dont have to pay for shipping to Canada + customs duty.

 

That's why I went out and bought my Walmart specials and then cut the crap out of them to fit.

 

So did I, but they look like hell and slide around like crazy. I might try the eBay ones; we'll see how they hold up to an Edmonton winter (although it's been really mild up here this year).

 

Yeah I hear ya and they smell pretty nasty when the heat's on the floor as well. The other night I was driving out to the airport and I thought I had an electrical fire because the stick from them was so bad.

 

Damn! I've had that smell b4, too! I didn't know it was from the mat stank. I've gotta give my mats a good cleaning now, I guess.
