You should be asking that question to the person who clucked up your engine bay...as a matter of fact...he should be the one cleaning it.

they have to clean it. Hopefully they didnt get any water in the intake. Those places hire 16 yr olds for minimum wage, give em a hose and tell them to point and spray

And never get that done at a car wash, dammit! Go to a professional detailer. Don't have somebody who knows nothing of cars shoot soapy water or who knows what else, into your engine bay.

It's like having the guys who power-washed my house the other day coming inside and cleaning the carpets with the same equipment...sure the job will get done, but just not in the right way.

stonerguy, were you at Toys R Us today? 12/15

As for your problem.. take it off. If it's not coming off, try some oven cleaner. Then get some metal polish and polish it up.

Haha cool. It's never a good idea to get your engine spray washed unless the shop is very reputable. Just try some oven cleaner on it and hope for the best..

wait wait wait, i have to ask this, why were you cleaning your engine baby? i have almost 20,000km on the car and have been running on a SRI for 3/4's of it and its not that dirty. everything in there is covered and all the intake air is channelled towards the intake head.

Second, careful of the chemical crap they spray under there, i have heard not so good stories

I would try Go-Jo hand cleaner if you havent gotten it off already...that sh*t takes anything off. Just get some on a cloth, scrub it, and should come off.
