08 Seats

Ok so my only real complaint about my car is the seats they do not hold you very well. Im a small guy and i hate these seats. Does the GTS have better seats or are they the same as the ES? Also will the Recaros from older Evos work in our cars? I know we have air bags in our seats thats why im asking. thank.

Any seat works in any car. If u want Recaros, go buy them but make sure u get the rails too.

I've read on another forum that the stock seats have all kinds of sensors built into them and are a bit tricky to swap. My dealer says that the Evo X seats will move across seamlessly, but I'd lose my seat heaters (if I went with the cloth GSR seats).

Oh, and they may cost upwards of 1000 bucks Canadian

Just know that you're going to be getting a whole lot of warnings if you remove the stock seats. I'm pretty sure it'll disable your airbag system. I'm sure they'll be a nice warning on the INFO screen 24-7 as well...

IDK I kinda like my seats in my GTS, I didnt think I would because I liked my seats in my 3g Eclipse with the lumbar support and whatnot, but anyway, just swap the seats with the Evo X or even the optional Ralliart Recaros when it comes out.

The GTS has sport bucket seats. You might like them better and they're probably cheaper.

I love the sport bucket seats in the GTS. They hold me in place very well when making tight turns, and I feel as if I am one with my car. Almost like a samurai and his katana.

i am 5'10" and 165 and i do find there is a bit of room between the sides of the seat and me, but its made for everyone right? The seat for one have airbags, a sensor for the weight of the driver/passenger so the airbags can deploy efficiently and safely, and also the heated part. So lots of issues to look at if going after market. I wouldn't advise on it

My dealer took me for a ride in the Evo X the other day, and I have to say that the Evo seats are FAR superior to the GTS seats - they hold better, have infinite angle adjustment, and the fabric is really grippy (at least in the GSR).

well... they ARE Recaro seats after all...

spydy98: The GTS seats are better than the other Lancer seats. I road in a DE before I drove the GTS and the DE seats were useless if you like to drive enthusiastically....
