Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has installed a trailer hitch on their '08 GTS (or ES/DE) ?

If so, what make/model hitch? Drilling involved? Does the hitch frame show much beneath the car?

I tryed to get one about 2months ago, and the 5 place I called told me they needed to get custom one because it's too new and companies haven't made one now.
But if you find out, tell us !

 

Doesn't the manual say something like "don't ever try to tow anything with this car!" ??? There's even a light on the dash shaped like a trailer (which I can only assume means "holy crap, you're towing something! Danger!" or something like that)...

 

yeah... if u need to tow something u bought the wrong car... the manual clearly states... do not tow....

There was some thread on here from australia mitsu site and it had all of these add ons that we dont have in the states or canada. there was clear bras and there was a tow you could buy too.

i know theres a post here somewhere with the link too....

i dont see what you could really tow anyway...

 

now most people think about the obvious.. trailer hitch = towing something.. boat, personal watercraft, motorcycle

what alot of people dont realize is alot of cyclists like trailer hitches on their vehicles for bike racks. Most manufacturers now a days produce bike racks for the roof of cars, if you are like me you purchased your car causes it looks bada$$ without a rack on the roof... so you would then look for something like a trunk rack.. the problem you would run into is with our car the spoiler is too large and trunk is too short so no room for a rack...leaving the only and best possible way to haul your bike around... a trailer hitch rack
