Weird stuff on exhuast pipe near catalytic converter

Weird stuff on exhuast pipe near catalytic converter

i looked down under my car today and this is what i saw, i didnt find where it was coming from, i mean protective plate is right above it so it couldnt be dropping down, any iteas? i provided some pics, thanks

melted plastic ? i had plastic melt on my truck's exhaust piping and it melted and turned weird colors ...

do you know where it might have came from,jumped up off the ground i suppose but thats alot of plastic to up and jump

plastic grocery bags or maybe a large trashbag or something? theres always crap flying around on the freeways in daygo... not sure for Las Vegas...

should i just scrap it off or was there something there before that melted that i needed, that wouldnt be good, lol. thanks for the insite by the way

Looks kind of like undercoating, but your car doesn't look undercoated, so you probably picked up a trash bag at some point.

It's that stuff from spiderman, stay away.

No, seriously, +1 garbage bag, it's pretty common from what I understand. Scrape it off and see if it comes back.

Thanks everyone! i am new to all the car stuff, but i am doing well so far, lol, put on my own intake, exhaust and piggyback, now i have my pully wheel left and probably buy the rrm headers as well later on, well peace out

thats definitely plastic that got caught on the exhaust..its happened to me on atleast 3 different cars. Scrape it off asap or ur gonna be real high sniffin plastic fumes for awhile. goodluck

yup i had the same thing on my celica. heavy gauge contractor trash bags look like that when they melt.
