Headlight Bulb

I was thinking, instead of getting HIDs for my GTS, is it worth it to just get the xenon bulbs? The one that are like 20 buks a set, are they worth it? And wat are some pros and cons to them?

Last I was at the dealer I asked about the evo x head lights. The guy in the parts department told me that the wire harness is different because it includes some amplifier in it. If someone could deny/confirm that it would be a good starting place. But i just got the mobile hids. I plan on installing them next week and completely going around the damn DRL issue without tapping into the parking lights. If it all works out, I'll post a how to.

honestly i'd say just go with some bright sylvania bulbs until there is a reasonable option for projector HIDs in the future.

Ya thats what I am thinking of doing, because HIDs are too expensive. Maybe later, but I was wondering is their any downs to these bulbs, like will they burn out quick or something?

i bought the sylvania silver star ultras and i like them a lot, i'm also thinking about buying HIDs just for the for lights to make them brighter as well and not have to worry about the DRL problem.

What year lancer do you have. I am know selling complete hid kits, 5000,6000,8000k 1 year warrenty. Pricing from 175.00 to 200.00 shipped.

If you do go with look a likes, go with piaa. These are pricey bulbs, have a close match to hid, but more importantly they will last. Cheap 20 dollar bulbs wont last.

I have the 08 GTS, wow those MotionR bulbs looks very convincing lol. I'm thinking about ordering the MotionR or a Sylvan bulb. But I really don't know if its worth it? Because with the lancer's daytime running lights, wouldn't the bulbs burn out extra quicker? Any opinions on this matter?

I cant say much about the bulbs mentioned above, I have experimented with alot of other brands and I always seem to arrive back at the Nokya bulbs. For people looking for HID simulated look then you probably will like the cosmic white bulbs. I personally perfer 2500k Yellow bulbs. Bulb life is about 1 1/2 years before the bulbs fail if you live in a hot and cold climat like canada. If your in the lower USA then you could get about 2 to 3 years before they fail.

I'm checking a retailers site for the Noyka bulbs and I got this: "Because these bulbs are high wattage, they are not legal for street use so be smart."
Source: http://www.coolbulbs.com/nokya.asp

I'm still concerned about the daytime running lights. Will they affect the bulbs and their life?
