Neon Lights help

Hey guys, i'm trying to install neon lights underneath the car and they say to drill. So i undercoated the bolts, undercoated the areas i wanted to drill but when it came time to drill. I could'nt, the metal is damn near impossible to drill through, even a shop could'nt do it. anyone have any alternatives to drilling which theyve done or special bits i should look into if drillings the only way?

Thanks

They make drill bits just for drilling into metal.

yeah, that was my next plan. Only problem is there isn't any holes close to the side to attach them. Only holes are about 4 inchs from the side and are onto a piece that sticks out abit. So they would be even lower then normally :S Always an idea though, thanks.

if a bit wont cut in a self tapping screw will just spin. start your holes using a much smaller size bit then move up to the size you need .

if you are talking about the metal where you use the jack to lift it than i drilled my holes in there. All you have to do is really put some muscle into it and push your drill hard so it gets in there and than it should just come together. I must say it is a pain but its worth it =)
