FAST Key Questions

OK so i was reading the guide for the FAST key system and I thought it said you cold deactivate the beeping sound it makes when all the doors are closed (car is still running) and you walk away with the key! Anyone know if this is possible?? The book says contact your mitsubishi authorized dealer and he didn't know and still hasn't called me back yet to let me know so I figured I would ask on here? The reason I am wondering is because I deliver pizza and that noise is just a pain in the a**. Also How can you have it unlock both the driver and passenger when you hold the handle to unlock the door? Thanks in advance if anyone can help!!!

if you have the navigation, i know that you can set it to unlock all the doors when you hold the handle. It's in the "set" button/menu thingy.

I dont' know about the beeping thing though....I would imagine that you wouldn't be able to turn it off because it's letting you know that the key is not in proximity of the running car....but if someone finds out please post it cuz I'd like to turn it off too! I'll be warming it up when it hits -20F.

I turned off that annoying outside beep by disconnecting the beeper. Its located in the rear of the car -- you can get to the wiring harness by reaching thru the holes by the license plate Theres two harnesses back there to unplug, and I don't remember which one it is...

As for unlocking all doors, if you have navi, press SET then touch Equipment. If you don't have navi, take it to the dealer and they can program it for you.

Is there anyway to program the doors yourself, without having the navi? Does anyone else find it annoying that the drivers door handle sensor only unlocks the drivers door, while the passenger side opens up all the doors?

Well when I asked my dealer at buy he told me : No problem we'll do that for you !!! ::
And now it's just : we can't do it, for a mysterious reason I was told.
If you find out how I will be happy to hear it.

Sounds weird that the dealer can't do it for you. Last time I was at mine to see if you can disable the DRLs, they have this program that shows all the menus in the ECU. Including some the Navi doesn't have. I wish I could sit and play around with the thing, maybe get something useful out of it. I don't think the techs are shown how to do everything with the tools they have.

I got mine set to 'unlock all doors' done at Scarborough Mitsubishi for 0.5hr charge ( ~$50).
Unfortunately, you need the MEDIC tool to access that parameter and I tried various dealer to get it done for a cheaper price since it takes about 5 mins to do so. After getting annoyed by this gay default settings, I agreed to the 0.5hr charge and got it done

HomieG, if you gonna do it at Scarborough Mitsu... approach Chris (mechanic) and tell him you need it done like you did for a customer couple of weeks ago. He still has the instructions I gave him on how to do it, so he can do it in a jiffy for yah. Also, while doing this, he will offer you to change other parameters available in that menu.

Us Canucks don't get Navi here up North. So yah, we are at the mercy of the dealers for any changes.

Aj, i gave that info to Soul a while back, and I don't think he succeeded in it

Is there a way they can program it to engage locks when you put it into D and disengage locks when you put it back into P?

you can do pretty much all you guys want, if you don't have navi you must get the dealer to program it. send me a PM for more info and I can e-mail you the options for the settings.
