I know there is an old thread I found here about this. However I have a slightly different question. Would it be possible to take the shifter from the Evo x MR or the Lancer ralliart and use them in the Lancer CVT? Does anyone know if they are threaded knobs or do they slide off like shown in the thread linked above?
I think the auto MR/Ralliart shift knob with the threaded leather boot looks sweet.

CVT Shift Knob

I'm not 100% sure about the fitment of a boot/knob from an MR, but if you're feeling creative it would be a fun project.

Cool the leather/metal one is nice, but 22,300 yen... thats like 200 dollars lol. Yeah I definitely want to find a boot similar to the MR's with red stitching, not to cover up the gear letters but, to cover the area where the shifter moves. Does that silver panel come off at all?

EDIT: I just went and looked at it, seems like If I were to put a boot on there, it would have to cover the gear letters too, that whole thing is one piece, but it does look like a boot would fit nicely over the whole thing.
