Changing gauge cluster???
Ok. I know this may be a really dumb question...but im thinking of changing my gauges on my es maybe to an evo 9 cluster or rally and was wondering....are you able to/will the readings automatically adjust the mileage of a used cluster to the true mileage of your car???
I'm looking at a gauge thata has about 100k mi. But my car only has about 87k?
Im pretty much a noob when it comes to these mods so i was curious.

it wont change the mileage of the new cluster to the mileage of the old one since they are on the cluster itself. I have done this when swaping my es to oz gauge and im about 70k off my actual mileage. it costs alot of money to change it to match ur old one, so either find one thats close or get the one ur looking at and drive around for another 13k before putting it in or just deal with it being off
the mileage is hard-coded to the eprom inside the cluster to prevent odom fraud so you cant change it.. my oz cluster had 59,212 miles when i swapped the evo8 cluster that had the same exact mileage as my oz.. it took me over a year to find one that was just over what my oz had... so yeah my evo cluster mileage is a dead on match..
the only isue is the antilock light.. from what i gathered from the ra forums its a non-issue. its just an issue with the evo cluster & the lancer oz/ls/es computer.. workaround is just pull the antilock light bulb behind the cluster... did it to mine and the annoying light is gone.. my abs works just fine btw
my advise is find a evo cluster thats just over your current mileage around 2-3k miles over.. thats what i did..
