yeah! I heard it does that when you installed those LED taillights. I think the reason why your cruise control is not working is because of a blown fuse. Not sure though.

you can try putting a resistor in. If you had a blown fuse, the tail lights shouldn't work either.

So would this be different for 7th gen lancers as well. I have 7443 spider light led's for my rear lights but there isnt a blow fuse. Could I be missing something.

Depends on how the circuits are set up. I have never played with them because I have yet to be able to find a clean way to take apart my rear lights to make them LED. But if only the brake lights are tied into the CC, then only the brake lights would need a resistor to simulate the stock brake lights. If more lights are tied in, each appropriate light would also need a resistor to simulate the original.

An easy way to size the resistor is to use the ohm reading on a DMM and measure the stock lights. The LED lights plus the resistor should equal to this reading. Another way to do it is by matching the power of the old lights to the total power of the new lights and LED lights. V = IR.

Sorry for the zombie thread! I have an 03 OZ with the cruise control not working. I tried a few times to get the flash codes to read, but it's not flashing anything. The green "cruise" comes on, so the bulb and fuse are good. If it's not flashing, I'm presuming that perhaps some of the contacts within the switch are bad? It's worked off and on for a month or so, but just won't engage at all now. Getting opinions before buying a new switch, or taking the car in. Thanks!
