Help Getting catalytic converter off

Help Getting catalytic converter off

I have an 02 lancer es which has a bad cat; 155k miles so no help from dealership recall. I have the new cat but am having trouble getting to the bolt all the way on the passenger side of the car; can' seem to get the powersteering bracket away from over the bolt any suggestions?? plz help!

use wd-40 or some lube let it sit for a few hours then try again. And make sure you man handle it

This is the exhaust manifold/cat under the hood?

You can put a socket on it by hand, then stick a wabble extention on as far as it will go.
This is what I did and it worked great.

Thanks for the replies, a friend came over with a flat socket set and we were able to get the bugger off.
