Question about OZ kit
Question about OZ kit
I've got a question about OZ lip kits. . . are they truly "bolt-on?" If I look up part numbers for bumpers, OZ bumpers are more expensive, but I was under the impression that all bumpers were the same and Mitsubishi just slapped some lips on them. Both front and rears are more expensive for 02-03 OZ (although still moderately cheap) so if I pay for those am I going to be had? There are no pictures, and I wont bother buying them if they're identical to the ES/LS bumpers.
Also, I found a guy selling an OZ lip kit from an 03, so I'm assuming it's just the lips themselves (front, rear, and sides) but again he has no pictures. Between a company and a private seller, I could sure get an answer as to how these mount and if I can just toss bumpers on (3rd party manufacturer) and have the lips on them. I'm way confused because they aren't answering or don't know. Haha any help from you guys is greatly appreciated. I know these should bolt right on to my ES, but the lack of internet information makes me wonder...
Thanks

I believe they are the same and the OZ doesn't have any "lip" that the ES doesn't also have.
As for the "guy" selling the "lip", it's most likely an after market front "lip" of some kind.
The side "lips" are called side skirts.
Sorry but I'm not for sure if it will bolt on.

Thanks. I've read people bolt the lips on, and I know people pull them from wrecked OZ's, which is what this guy is selling. It's a complete OE lip kit, all factory Mitsu parts. However, the 3rd party company I'm talking with has their OZ bumpers priced higher, so I'm wondering if the lips are molded / included with those bumpers. Remember, these are all OE parts or OE reps, nothing else.
