2009 Lancer ES MP3 player - Remove pause between tracks

I was trying out an mp3 CD in the Lancer, and I was playing tracks that are mixed together, however, they are split into separate mp3s. When the audio player goes to the next song, there is a silence before playing the next track, but obviously this makes a mix compilation not seamless. Is there any way to have the next track played immediately as it should be?

Thanks.

Theres usually an option in the software you use to burn the CD, to have the 1 second pause or not. At least I know it is in Nero (which is what I use).

I know this is true for audio CDs. But for mp3s, you're essentially just burning files on a disc, so adding/removing seconds of pause does not apply. Is there no way to have gapless mp3 playback?

Yes, that's true, I just read on the Nero website that it's not possible. So I guess it's the player itself. I got one for mine that plays mp3's from an SD card, and it has no delay that I can remember.

Damn, it must be the mp3 player in the car, not capable of gapless playback for mp3s. If it had a CD stacker, I could have a CD of mp3s and a few CDs of mixes. But having one slot, to avoid physically changing discs, I was hoping I could have all my music on one disc.
