Body Kits
Body Kits
I have a 08 Lancer ES. Looking to up grade due to ex-g-friend's messing it up. (long story) Was wondering where I can get a nice looking full body kit for around 550.00 or so that I can do my self or any thought/tip's.
Thanks
Thanks
Autocityimports has a few body kits. But they'll need to be painted and may need some cutting to fit right. there aren't really any full body kits that come ready to go out of the box, they all require some work to look right. If you have the skills and tools then press on. But if you are looking for something that you can install with little to no work, then a front lip of some sort would be more up your alley. They're usually as easy as stick on and go. some come pre-painted, primed for paint, or carbon fiber.
saw this and had to comment. I have the itz Evo x style 4 piece from autocity and yes... Horrible. The rear and sides fit decent with the expected cut here sand there and some double sides adhesive to make the skirts flush. But the front bumper has the same problem that another bumper I had previously (that I did not use because of this) and that the headlight areas need major fab. It's not even close. Not sure if I should keep it and wait til it warms up to fab more or just sell to someone who has the time and or money to take to get professionally fitted.close to being the worst 800 bucks I've spent on my car. I didn't even get the free mesh I was promised. Overall though it did have a pretty smooth finish and arrived fairly quick. Don't expect to track it cus one day I get an email saying its be made and the. 2-3 weeks later with no shipping info it arrived a day after my wheels came so convenient on that end but in my experience body kits for these are pretty good until it comes to the front with the lights. I'm prob gonna get just an aggressive lip for the front and sell the 2 bumpers I have. Right now the body kits on there are 550-1000 for a 4-8 piece kit with a flat 150 for shipping. The price is there, but not so much the quality. I've only heard good things about duraflex and their molds and supposedly they test fit most of their products before shipping but also cost more. This area is definitely one of those get what you pay for things. My suggestion is to just play with what you got and get a lip kit. If your not worried about saving the stock pieces then just mod them with your own cutouts and mesh and throw some lips on it. I kinda regret not doing this myself.
