Using carbon fiber wrap in engine bay...?

Has anyone come across this before?

I was wondering if this is possible. Will the heat in the engine bay cause the wrap to heat and loosen?

All feedback is appreciated.

Depends on what you'd like to wrap and how close is it to the heat source. Fuse box - maybe, but definitely not your valve cover

FYI, fiberglass and carbon fiber fires can't be extinguished with dry chem so plan accordingly....

Thanks! I was thinking I could get away with the fuse box. I'm surely going to stay away from the valve cover.

Thanks for the good idea. Right now I'm just going to stay away from dressing up the engine bay anymore. If I do decide to place any carbon fiber in the engine bay, I will buy the real thing. I'm just going to wrap the exterior and maybe some interior pieces.
