Dynamatting my 02 OZ lancer

Well, got tired of the road noise, sound of the exhaust, and little rattles that seem to have been growing since I got the car. Took out the seats and gave them a good washing. Took out console, trim, trunk liner, rear speaker shelf, front door panels, etc. Basically gutted the car. (Waited till the wife went out of town so I could bring all this in the house!) Cleaned the parts and the interior of the car.

Picked up two boxes of dynamat extreme and spent a day and a half doing the interior, trunk, front doors, speaker shelf and trunk lid.

So was it worth the effort? Yes. I put new speakers in while I was at it and it is a lot nicer driving the car. While not scientific, I'd say that there is at least a 50% reduction in noise. I still have some left and will take the headliner out soon and do that too.

it's all finished now. like I said, about a 50% reduction in noise from exhaust/engine/road.

You can certainly still hear the exhaust when you accelerate but dont notice the constant drone driving down the freeway.
