it COULD work... but in the event that there is an immobilizer chip in your car (highly doubtful) you'll have to swap over the chip from inside the oem key to that new one. also trying to get that thing programmed may be a PITA unless there's a way to do it outside the dealer. never done it before so dont know too much about that.

there is not IMO in the 04 that i know of, mine doesnt have it i wouldnt think his does.

i dont think our cars are on the frequency as far as programing it but i orderd one for the hell of it we will see how it goes.... in the worst event i just have a cool key and ill make somthing for it to work or just upgrade to a simple alarm to witch it will work with...

lol yeah i dont have one in my 05 even though people say i do. the stealership even got me to buy one of the keys for like $75 or something saying there's the special chip inside and i find out a few months later that a copied key from home depot does the trick. i was more or less pissed with mitsu after that and dont go back to them for any service for my car.

if getting an alarm get a viper or something similar with feedback notifications telling you from the control itself that the doors are locked/unlocked and if the alarm is going off. best investment for the car i've made.
