There is a black garment on the passenger side on the firewall , a real tight fit but you can locate it from the inside of the car. I found it easier to do it that way, ill try to get a pic soon for you. Good luck!

It would be best to try and stay on whatever side the battery is on. For a 2006, I am not sure but you can always drill a hole and use a step bit to increase the size and make sure you use a grommet. Run your RCA Cables down the opposite side of the car to prevent noise induction into the system. Also, make sure your ground wire is of equal size to the gage power wire you are using if not bigger. Post some pics when it is done. I am a former car audio shop owner and work at Best Buy part time. I have over 30 years experience in the car audio and 12 volt electronics aftermarket business.
