ROAD/RACE- RA intake version 2
So the piggyback isadvancing the spark a little more then? I should probably post this in a different forum but, what about a v-afc? On my dyno sheet it was nice enough to give my air/fuel. My car starts off lean (around 15) and turns rich around 5200rpm. In fact it looks like a mirror image of the hp graph! So my question is: would a v-afc control MIVEC and if so, what exactly would it control beyond the obvious A/F ratio? Another option is to disable the MIVEC but then the question is how much overall gain would there be? Sorry but I know zip about Hondas other than they're everywhere and most of them are white and fluffy if you know what I mean...
Odd how I can fit so many different questions in such a strange way huh?
Thanks again guys,

i know some other mivec engines can use the v-afcs VTEC control to work /w MIVEC. check out www.mivec.co.nz
I searched through a lot of schtuff, but most of them were using s afcs... I think I might , aw the hell with it. I'm buying an emanage with the injector and ignition harnesses. I can get them shipped from ebay cheaper than the c2di and I'll have more control!!! *note: cue maniacal laughter and organ music*
Oh yeah, how can I go wrong for a little over $350 for a new emanage w/ injector and ignition harness? Oh yeah, I guess I could fry my coil packs like some of the evo guys huh? Oh well, you gotta make some sacrifices. I just wish they didn't have to be burn offerings!

Still use the squish pipe cause need to absorb movement of the engine. However ther are no other joints in the system. Squish pipe has no negative effect on h.p.

I had RRM CAI before turbo. Squish pipe is needed. It was great. Before that I had and INJEN before and it broke cause it did not move well enough with the engine. Injen sucks. Injen would not even replace it or anything!
Mine is still holding up been about 15000 kms now and not easy kms lots of nasty roads bumps ect...... Most of the time it's from miss installs, not placing the forks far enough on the rubber vibra mount.

That is good for you. Regardless, the problem with the Injen is that it is too rigid and does not move enough with engine. This is especially true when you launch hard or shift hard.

i have had my rrm cai since sept of 04 and had about 5000 miles on my car when i put it on. Now i have 27000 miles on my car and have not had a probelm with the cai at all, so i'll say that rrm has made some nice things.
