Accolade Evo7 TS kit rear bumper

I was reading around that only the styrofoam reinforcement was to be removed to fit the Evo 7 TS kit...

Just a heads up, but it seems that on my Canada-spec Lancer OZ, the whole rear reinforcement bar must be removed in order to fit the TS Kit's rear bumper, which requires even the metal to be cut away..

This is also horrible in case you get into an accident :/

Good thing the car still looks good with the stock bumper..

I have the us-spec kenstyle rear bumper and did not have to remove any reinfocement bars. I personally would rather remove the rienforcement bar than have a tailgate which I have now. Trying to get the shorty bumper now.

Thats cool your kit still looks good with stock back bumper.

The best solution would be to cut the bar out and relocate it a few inches higher, I think, but as of right now, that would take me too much time and money

Can anyone verify this cutting part of the lisence plate part to make it fit? Would be nice to have the rear on

I cut my re-bar around the license plate box to make it work. Then, in the spot I cut out, I welded in a flat piece of steel. Its probably stronger now then the stock re-bar was!

Its true that you need to shave off a bit, remember we designed to make the rear look just like the Evo VII, so its pretty hard to do it if we follow the original US spec Bumper Line.

Just to keep you guys informed we will have a small Limited edition Ken Style JDM Spec Full Rear Bumpers in stock. Anyones wants them they are Full Bumpers. Because Ken Style only came with Rear Lips, but we have have made it full JDM Spec bumper just like our yellow lancer on our site.

Lot of people aks for this bumper, so we though of bring down 10 limited numbers of bumpers to USA.

All ready only 4 left.

Sorry dont ask about the re bar if you want this. But it looks so nice on the US spec lancer as it does not hang out too much. For the ken Style JDm spec bumper to go you have full remove the re bar unlike the TS rear .

For TS you only need to shave the foam near the number plate holder. It takes around 5 min,

On the forth pic in this thread you can see how I trimed the License plate indent to get the bumper to fit

So you have two choices:
1. Trim reinforcement bar to fit
2. Trim license plate indent to fit.

Does anyone know if the same holds true for the front bumpers?

front goes on fine without any mods to the bumper or removing the re-bar

Does that hold true for all kits, or just the TechSport kit?

Hey H8YOURV8, What did you use to trim the license plate part? I got the TS kit and if I have to do anything with the rear rebar, I will be leaving the stock rear bumper on! I don't even wanna think about messing with the styrofoam or the rebar! Thanks dude!
