today at around 4 pm im driving about 35mph and all of the sudden my hood flies onto my windshield. im freaked out my girlfriends even worse. i stop the car look at the hood split in two pieces. the damn cheap *** hood latch broke. i was suprised that the hood didnt crack my windshield cuz it hit pretty hard.
now i need a new hood so if anyone is selling a evo 7 ts hood please pm me or dave if u could give me a deal on a new one i would really apprieciate it. ill post pics of it tomm.

was it a mitsubishi latch that broke, or was it the hood part that broke that the latch was connected to?

 

it was an accolade latch on the evo 7 tech sport

dude did accolade tell u u needed to use hood pins?? ask them for new hood free cuz urs flew off. almost breakin windsheild. sux not really ur fault. there product has an issue

almost the same thing happend to me, cept mine was my own error, and if u talk to dave about it, they will hook u up, they gave me a decent (semi-damaged) hood for free. It beats having to buy a new hood. and plus, i am going ot get a cf hood soon ne wayz

 

lalala i do have hostility...ive seen/ known so many peeps get phucked by them man,...to each his own in opinion and car/// i must say people have been like **** u to me and im like im just speakin my mind...wanna look out for us not them...there hood broke. and it wasnthis fault therefore quality issue...he should ask and if not given a new hood..then he should raise hell./

 

You should definitely make a case for a free hood, especially if the manufacturer didn't specify the use of hood pins to make sure the hood doesn't fly off like that. Good thing you weren't going that fast and the only damage done was to the hood!

 

This is where ur wrong. its not Accolade or dave or dimantha... its OFDL for the. while this case may differ, u need to understand that accolade is the good guy and ur attempting to give them a bad name. without you even testing thier products for yourself you have developed and opinion.
