I think it would look better if the actual light behind the white face was blue rather than having the blue LED light up the red behind the white face.

Itried useing the leds in place of the bulbs the leds didnt illuminate the numbers very well so I tried a mock up of this and liked it so I made the above settup it was a pain in the *** to get the leds aimed and mounted properly.( tip if you rough up the tip of the led with sandpaper or a rough scotchbrite pad it more evenly dispurses the light ) I would change how I mounted the center led if I did it again. heres a pic that I enhanced it is a little closer to how it actualy looks (a little)

Is the stock red light behind the white face toned down to the fullest in that pic?

no actualy if the factory clusterbulbs were off it would look like black #s and letters. the leds are wired to the cluster illumination circut so they dim with the factory dimmer switch

Are those bulbs really hard to get to? CAuse if they're not, I might try something. Are the bulbs red or is there a red plastic sheet behind the cluster?
