Ok, question time for the OZ boys!
just installed my OZ cluster tonight, and it looks BEAUTIFUL! Now, poking around I saw that u guys get little red condoms on your lights. What would happen if I put on the blue condoms from ym es cluster? would that make it purple? or just the ES color? what about putting one over the other... for some reason the blue T1.5 bulbs I bought won't fit so i'm loking into alternatives

one more thing, I don't want to get in trouble with the odometer so i've got two options as far as I can see: one, get the dealer to fix it, or two, can I get the mileage notarized somehow? I don't want to get in trouble when I go to sell this thing years and years and years from now 
As for the odometer, I went to the dealership after replacing my ES cluster with an OZ one and asked about the milage. The redneck mechanic at the dealership didn't understand what I was talking about but said it was illegal. Of course these are the same incompenent mechanics that said the cluster swap was impossible anyway.
just take off the red condoms and put on the blue condoms if u want it to be blue. i doubt u will be able to fit to different color condoms on at once cause they are on there pretty snug. how much difference is there between odometers? if it's not that much u might as well drive til they match up, and save yourself the money. kinda stupid mitsu put the mileage in the gauge instead of the ecu. lol
ah, so it is inside the cluster...well the cluster i installed is off by 31K :P and I'd rather not wait a year until they match up...hmmm... i'll have to call the dealer and see what they say. I think they should be able to do something since I had to get myoringinal cluster replaced last year when I screwed up my needles. When they did that my cluster had zero miles on it... which I think would be WORSE considering probably 99.999999% cases of odometer fraud are rolling the numbers back. Talking to my sis she told me to just not even worry about it and deal with it when I go to sell the car but I don't think that's a very wise idea.
If you are interested in new gauge bulbs.... you can get some of mine! I have custom fabricated LEDs into stock bulb bases for the perfect fit! I am currently making gauge cluster kits now to make the gauges any color you want. Blue, Red, UV (Purple), Amber, Green and White. You can click the link in my sig to read about it.
