new idea - need input!! involves carbon fiber :)
So I made a thread ( https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=130739 ) and the people off that thread gave me such a good idea I wanted to run by u guys!
SOOOOOOO THIS IS MY CAR AS MOST OF U KNOW!
do u guys think this would look good... have the CF splitter on the front, but not like out all the way where it looks stupid but jus out enough so u can see it and it'll protect my bumper. and get a REAL evo 8 spoiler w/ the CF accent on it, jus so everything flows??
WHAT DO U THINK?? Here is the pic of the splitter:

Nextgenerationx got it on his ride already. He didn't put splitter rods on them.
I say go for it though, i wanna get a splitter too later down the road.

If you use the splitter as a form of protection, the splitter will eventually look pretty bad. Although it's cheaper to replace a damaged splitter than a damaged FB, you'll still be throwing out a good $200-300. If you're really having trouble getting up your driveway, how about an air ride? Probably save you money in the long run right? Or if that's out of the question, park out on the street?

also, im using the splitter as a form of protection but that doesnt mean im gonna be plowing it into concrete all the time, i'll still be super careful, it jus means that if i do hit concrete, its the splitter thats gonna get hurt not my bumper...

Well, the splitter seems like a great idea and a great add-on. But personally...I'd start by getting the OE Evo VIII spoiler first. The CF parts all together make a good impression on the judges. Couldn't see in the pic above, but do you have CF door pillars? Another good investment.
Go for the VIII spoiler asap cuz its awesome. And again like I said in the other thread, go for a metal splitter, paint it black or whatever so it blends in, and it will protect your shlt way better than cf and still look good. Remember, cf does still break and if its scratched, it looks like crap.
well i have made my own, since there's not any that i like, although mine is not carbon fibre, i possibly could make one. But it would be a little more expensive, here's the one i have on my car.

splitters are fairly new thing to me so I'm gonna ask away w/ my question:
Some people put splitters without splitter rods...those with splitter rods...
What's the point for the splitter rods? Are they adustable? Do they just add more stabilization?
