OZ Cluster

Well I'm getting my new OZ cluster calibrated. Sent it out this morning along with my ES cluster. Should have it in by Wednesday. Gotta love overnight shipping I would put some pictures up but everyone knows what they look like.

BTW: Since I'm switching my cluster I'm selling my White Face Gauges. Click Me

speedometer shop... as in the calibrate gauges that you replace... certified as in they're a certified shop to do that kind of work.. as in you won't have an illegal gauge swap. get it?

I'm sending it to http://www.specmo.com. That is the company the dealership gave me. It is legal. I gave them both my clusters and also my VIN number to my car. It costs $78.

I talked to the morons at my dealership...the only Mitsu in Charleston, SC aside from saying the ES-to-OZ swap was impossible, they said it would be illegal to change to odometer.

It's not impossible. Dealerships are stupid. I went to the one in Cherry Hill, NJ and they gave me the company they deal with. specmo.com. When you send them both clusters you give them your VIN # so there will be a record of it so there is no fraud.

so does the calibration have to be done or not? Or are you just doing this so you there won't be any fraud?

To be legal Yes. Unless say on your ES you have 30,000 miles for example. And you buy an OZ cluster with say 29,000 or 31,000 miles on it or your close to your ES miles, then I'd say it's up to you if you want to be off by a few miles but as for me I'm just taking the safe route on this and get it calibrated and make it all legal.

The cluster is in and looks 100% better. Now I just may have to get that carbon fiber bezel.

Install is cake. Plug in two different cables in back. All done. You don't need to disconnect your battery.
