Apex Body Kit Installation Bill Came in Today!!!

I got my credit card bill for my Apex body kit installation I had done, had my girlfriend put it on my charge card when it was done. I had no idea it costed 3,000 dollars!!! Thought it would be like a 1,500 dollar job, but oh well =( . It looks sick so I guess it's all good, perfect match, and I guess the fact that the OZ spoiler had to be removed for the EvoVII spoiler, and the center pillar had to be filled, is that what probably hurt me for labor? To those that also have this kit(the complete kit with hood and all), what was your installation amount? I honestly think I got ripped off bad for the installation, but it does look very good, like it came from factory.

3000$ is way too much IMO.

Post pictures please (close ups and all) to see that "perfect fit"

It is fiberglass right?

Yah, he said it was good quality fiberglass to work with, was pretty damn strong, so he says. I guess ABK doesn't make such bad products afterall?

post some pics . . .

but anyway, seeing that you had to get your hood, bumpers, sideskirts, and spoiler painted . . . as well as all the factory parts taken off, and bodykit parts installed . . . and finally filling in your center hole in the trunk. i think that the price is kinda high. i would have guessed and probably would have paid (through a bodyshop i go to) about 2g's TOPS (most likely 1,500 though) . . . i dont know though. i say that if it looks like it came out of the factory, good job and i guess you got your money's worth.

dude you got rip off badly!!!!, filling the hole would have been like 100 buck at most. 1,500 was the right price for that job!

very true. to get an ABK kit, especially the apex kit, to fit perfectly is going to cost you extra. i had the kit, so speaking from experience, the kit is kinda hard to fit to start off with. my bodyshop guy had a hard time installing it and told me that if i didnt know him, he would've charged me triple. i paid $600 to install and paint the front bumper, rear bumper, and sideskirts.

3000 is insane that's like more than double the price of the kit, 1500 sounds about right at most, but maybe they did have a really really really really hard time puttin the kit on....anyway get some pics up dude!

3000+1000 for the kit = 4000$

at this price, you can probably have a custom made and fitted body kit

Etienne

EDIT: Oh and you can also have a rippmods supercharger installed and 500$ left for goodies at this price
