did they come with the mount brackets for the seat? or do you have to pick up/make them yourself?

i think they look okay and i am pretty positive youre just as safe in these. the ralliart emblem in the head on shot looks a lil crooked. and the right shoulder wing looks different from the left. but As long as the mounting brackets hold just as well and the seats dont rip in half when you crash theyre fine. it not like the stock seats had airbags or anything special in them.

Instead they had a multi billion dollar company and millions of dollars of research behind them.

Aright, well first I havent recieved 'em in the mail yet (but, no they dont come with brackets, Ill make some)...
2nd: I hear ya on the picture, the bottom left side pad looks a lil shoddy, and the Logo is crooked, hopefully they will show up looking better and being good to go.
Also I like 'em aesthetically, and cus I have a Ralli Art steering wheel to match (Which Im in much need of a fitting hub adaptor for), and Ive sat in eBay purhased seats before, which my friend had in his Yellow OZ Lancer and they looked great, felt great, and wrapped around me the same as the Sparco Torinos did, and are also made with the same memory foam. I know their not the same quality but I look at it this way:

-NO! theyre not APC, F*CK DAT!!! I wont put that sh*t in my Car or Pep Boys!
-They do hold you in nicely around the curves, thus serving theyre purpose well
-Theyre comfy and much comfier than stock
-They look good
-For 2 seats, I cant argue w/ the price
-I know its embroidered and not really Ralli-Art, but you like it too, dont lie
-The brackets Im making myself (and Im a great DIY builder, and **** when it comes to perfection and functionality) so I trust my work before any after market product anyday, when it comes to a smaller job like that anyway plus I enjoy the wrench time & being able to say "Hey, I did this all myself" and people are like "Wow nice job, Its really well done! ".

So anyway, when I get 'em Ill let ya's know and post pics here for you.
So if need be, just bump to keep this topic open.

Thanks

Marcos M. Duarte

ok

1) no theyre prob not as safe as stock seats... IVE sta in these exact seats... I DID NOT EVEN FEEL SAFE

2) they do hold u well that is true... ill give them that.

3) if u put your wheel on u will have a much better chance of dying when u crash. no airbag and seats that are not too well researched = bad.

4) they're pretty much apc quality, trust me. it just has the ralli///art crap on it so u think its better.

5)have fun with the suctom brackets, not toooo hard but a lil difficult. if u need some rrm will prob just sell u some of theres.. call to order.

...and explain how stock ES Seats are safer?
They dont support the driver, and their bolted down equally if not worse, than how Id bolt down my seats, oh! and they weigh a sh!tload more too...
RRM overcharges, I can weld the same strut bar they do and paint it red also, and it wont cost me 85 bucks...

Btw about the Mitsu does better "testing" comment...
If ya crash youre gettin f*cked up. Period.
More-so however, testing doesnt mean **** (in this case)... you ever heard of crush points/zones?
Their little dimples under the hood ontop the fenders, where when you crash, they cause the car to crumple up at these points, so the crushing of your car "absorbs the impact"... Well, tho it may do that, your losing your ride regardless, and car companies take advantage of this so you have to buy another car, and they do it in the name of "safety".
I dont think your stock seats are anything too special there, believe me!
Its cheap foam 1st of all, with a faux-suede cover stitched over top & a frame, then bolted down (which is the only effective part about it)... there arent any special features other than the checkered design pattern thats on it... thats it!
Its the same ******* thing... lol

You missed my point... If you read, youda seen that Im well aware its not really Ralli-Art. Any idiot knows that. No, it doesnt make you feel (well "me") that their any better other than aesthetically.
Maybe their APC quality (and perhaps this is what you meant, just wrong about which part) but their NOT APC, nor Pep-Boys... So that part does make me feel better, kinda like when ya eat "Fat Free" Dressing on your salad, but y'know its still fattening!

Lastly, My work aint "suctom" so watch who your talkin to like that, cus I didnt come talkin' that **** your way, or disrespectin' you for no reason did I?

i hope you were joking about a lot of that the way you said it. But yes these seats are just as safe, whether anyone "felt" less safe, in a crash, these will hold you just as well, except if you get hit from the side it protects a little better cause of the wings. not much "research" goes into seats except for higher grade seats with airbags and such. lancer seats are just regular cheap seats.

ok,

Im happy for ur custom abilities, it must be nice to be able to depend on yourself to do things whenever u want.

No, these will not be as safe as stock.. I'll try to look up the videos of crash tests on ebay seats.... It was some study done by csu stidents in the Los Angeles area.

We know they are not specificly apc, however from MY first hand experience they are iferior to stock seats in durability and reliability in the event of an accident.

Please have fun by all means. I really hope u dont get into a wreck.

regards,

Pete

ebay does not make the seats, so not all ebay seats are the same. but yes some are as safe as a bucket, others are just as good or better as stock.

why wouldnt the seats pep boys sells be better than ebay generic seats? at least that way you'd have a company to sue if you crashed and got injured because of the seats
