crazy idea i had

How about this, I work in the airlines, and I have always wanted to try something on a car, and the lancer has just the right shape at the *** to do it. Some larger aircraft that do not have reversers have a panels, usually at the tail, that open on landing to help scrub speed. Kinda like the 911's active spoiler, but on the side pnels or roof or something. could somebody who is good with photoshop possibly make a concept of this for me?
I'm old and stupid and don't know how to run these new fangled machines.

I'm picturing something a-la KITT from Knight Rider. When they had to slow down really, really fast after that whole super speed trip. yz250crit, am I close?

the f-86 sabre had them, square doors theat you couldn't see on the fuselage, then a hydraulic ram would extend them out.

Yes some older aircraft use these...I think the smaller Fokker's (maybe the 28 series) has the ram driven tail pieces or clamshell that opens up. On a car this indeed sounds like a crazy idea...how about investing in some better brake pads / rotors instead?

you could always open the door and drag your left foot, it would probably make the same difference in deceleration.

but then you're looking at a single X-slotted Nike, unless of course you upgraded to stage 2. but you're better off sticking with Nike's stage 1 foot brake, stage 2 is really just for show.

any word of carbon fiber shoestring-end-thing coming out this month? Paint matched it would look sweet!

...I've been awake too long, because this seems a little too funny
