That warranty I believe will cover the coilovers themselves, not any parts they might damage. I could be wrong, but if I ran a business that's how I'd do it.

Seriously, I wish you the best of luck cuz I think you're gonna need it. The coilovers look significantly shorter than stock.

EDIT: My rides on progress springs were alright. They wouldn't be my first choice, but they wouldn't be my last. Still very floaty at high speeds and I could tell from the passenger seat. I wasn't impressed, but I wasn't turned off.

Thank you Hobie. That is exactly what I've been trying to say. Funny how no one will talk **** to you after you say the same thing people have getting on me for. And Shogun coilovers for the Lancer are not new, they have been out for nearly a year I believe. Or at least 8 or 9 months.

Yeah and how many of them have praised them...0 to my knowledge. But to each his own and maybe someone will like them.

yea but hobie came out and said if you lower any car, any way you may blow struts. he didn't come out an say shoguns are crap, without trying them. even with springs you can blow struts. everything in moderation. i would agree if you put coilovers on your car and drop it 4" you will damage struts, but 1" or 2", thats just like springs with a show option for a greater drop.

Shogun, but yes a 2 inch drop will kill your stock struts way quicker than say the Eibach Pro-Kit. I was actually going to go that route to save money, but than I figured, screw it, might as well go all out with the Teins and have no regrets and a car that handles like a dream. So next time you wanna kiss Hobie's @$$ make sure you read everything.

that was after a few posts of straight disses. the point i was trying to make was you should have said that in the first place, not just dis the coilovers, give a valid reason while knocking a product. and you did come accross as someone who was looking down on others for not having the best . i wasn't trying to kiss a$$, i was trying to say "look how hobie went about it, next time do the same"

I'm not looking down on anyone. But everyone had acted like they never heard of Shogun Coilovers for the Lancer before, like they were some new product. But as Hobie said, they've been out since August 01'. And once again, someone on these forums had them and said they were crap.

Yeah, I was right. Run a search on Shogun. Speedy and P911 had Shoguns. Read and see how well they liked em. And then see what P911 switched to.

i read that, but if you set coilovers for 1"-1.5" (same as springs) then when you park at a show drop them, i think you will be fine. if i am wrong let me know, cuz i live in canada and everything cost twice as much.

You would think that you would be fine. But if the coilovers are cheap, then you might have problems. And as Hobie said, they do look extremely short. But I guess you will never know until you try it. But since you gotta pay a lot more for stuff, which really sucks, I would wait until a few people on here give them a thumbs up cuz right now two people got em and took them off.
