Custom Built Strut Bar

this is what you get when you get board at work and have a bunch of scrap metal leying around the shop it took me about 2 weeks of work and boy does it work

Curious- if you were gonna build one why you didnt go all out and do a 3 point strut bar like the evos use?

i didnt even think of it i just looke for the easyest way to run a bar and then made plates for it

ill look and see where i could mount it and see what i can do the only thing is that the bar is bent by hand i dont have any special tools except for a welder and grinder

oo, The ones ive seen attach to the firewall.. so you would have to weld a plate to the middle of the firewall, bend bar toward the back of engine bay. weld plate to middle of bar and bolt or weld the plates together....... I was thinking of getting one made for me like that. I think it can be done.

o it can be done you just have to have the drive to get it done

i went to a fab guy around here and he looke at me like i was crazy and wouldent do it so i did it my self

ive thought about making one for the rear just havent started looking at it yet and all it cost me was time i work in a warehouse and we have al kinds of pipe and metal around
