New pics of wheels, steering wheels, seats

Ok guys, I'm the king of cheap, do it yourself mods. The steering wheel was $30 from Ebay. Hub is the Splash Boss $150 for an Evo. Seats are from an Eagle Talon TSI from the junkyard $10 each.

The painted wheels, brakes were done by me and the wheels were $200 each because I really wanted the red pin stripe....JK...the pen cost $2.50 at Wal-Mart and I just followed a black line on the tire. Sorry...I saw a pic of a car with tires with the red stripe in Sport Compact and I thought that they look really nice.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

Did the seats bolt right in? If so maybe I'll go get some that are leather/etc.

No they did not. I took them to my local mechanic. He just traded me for my old seats for the labor...It took some custom work and I need to go back and straighten them up a little. Our bolt pattern is complicated.

Right on, thanks. I've been thinking about getting the old Civic Si or Hyundai Tiburon seats. Very comfortable, and probably affordable.

cheap is great sometimes. I dont like the seats at all. stock lancer seats are 10x nicer. imo. Red stripe on tire im not sure about and the steering wheel looks pretty good.

Please dont tell me you painted your tires, cause thats what it looks like. . Those splitters you have on the bumper are killing me. And no offense but those seats look like they came from and old van or something. Get someone to do a custom cover for them, vinyl is cheap.

I knew that I could count on you guys for the support! Anything else negative that you want to add??? It seems that on this site you've got to spend thousands of dollars for you guys to like it. Well....call me cheap.

The stock Lancer seats on an 02 were junk. They had no support what so ever. I agree...the color wasn't my first choice, but for $10 each they're in perfect condition. I've thought about either recovering them or trying that special paint for seats. Grey/black to match my interior.

Sarcasm is great! Not for nothing bro, but if you post pictures up, people are going to give you an honest opinion. I'd rather get honest opinions then get a buch of yes men who will tell me that my car looks hot, when it actually looks like a box of skittles.

Hey, we all try to cut corners here and there and go the "cheap" route, but we just try to do it as tastefully as possible. If you're happy with the way your car is coming along then more power to you. Have a cyber on me!
