Post Ebay Carbon Fiber Dashkit Demystified!

Greetings everyone,
I've been a long time member and lurker of this forum. And I'd like to share my experience with my fellow lancer enthusiasts. Recently I purchased a Carbon Fiber(CF) Dashkit for the Lancer on Ebay, the Interior on Lancers regardless ES,LS, or OZ should be the same the only difference would probably be the Manual & Automatic transmissions. Anyway, I was surfing Ebay for some items that might fit the OZ and I came across the CF dashkit, it was only $145 w/ S&H this was probably the lowest price I've come across in terms of Lancer Dashkits, they usually range from 150-260. I figured I didn't have much to lose so I bought it.
I can't give my opinions about other versions of this dashkit but I can honestly say from my own personal opinion mine sucked, and it was a complete ripoff. I don't want to bad mouth the dealer cause I'm not that type of person, I accept responsibility for my own actions, I was cheap enough to buy Ebay, I deserve the shame. I'm going to try and post some pictures of the kit just in case anyone's wondering what it looks like.

I was shocked that it came in so few parts. And quite honestly they were quite small. Another big issue was that it came w/ no diagrams on where each peice was suppose to go. I went back to the auction on ebay to print out the diagram from there.

If there are still people interested in getting the kit, I found only one person auctioning it and it's only for manual, Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2410625036 . I'm pretty sure someone else will eventually start sell'em for automatic again. Anyway, I hope sharing this info was helpful to anyone. I'll post some pics of the interior if anyone requests for it on this post.

Have a wonderful day all, and beware of what you buy, especially from Ebay!

That sux, dood. I sold an RMR CF dash kit to rhyzin for $100 and threw in a USB wireless keyboard and mouse set @ CAL SLAM Stage I. That's the cheapest "decent" Lancer dashkit has ever been sold, as far as I know. So, who all's coming to Stage II?

Arghhh!!! BOOYAH, you sure know how to kick a man when he's down... j/k. But this was the whole moral of the story, always be sure before you buy from eBay.

And Jamie, the parts look like they're pretty straight forward however, There are certain peices where it fits almost any area, that's the tough part. It's like putting a jigsaw puzzle with the peices faced down.

Anyway, I thank you all for your hurtful comments, I'm going to cry myself to sleep now...

Ghostrider, I'll post some picture of the dashkit and close ups of the carbon fiber sometime next week, I'm due for a long trip over the weekend. And you were correct, it's billed as Real CF, but in actuality it's just peices and it's stuck on using double-sided tape and "sticky" glue.

BOOYAH1369, I agree it said "Exotic Real Wood Dash" and at first glance I thought they had messed up my order. But it turned out that the box had some small, tiny, miniature, almost microscopic words that said "real carbon fiber" somewhere on the box.

Iamkar33m, It wasn't too difficult of a task to put the kit together, it was that fact that it contained so few peices. In fact it took less than 15mins to really put the kit together. If you read the first post correctly, I explained why I was pissed.

www.woodtrim.com sells pretty good cf dash kits. For auto and manual lancers. My friend ordered one, and it looks pretty good. Decent quality too.
