sprint springs installed - LOWWWW!

Not the best pics in the world, but you get the idea....

So a 1.8" drop claim from Sprint....but WOW was I surprised to realize that my back now tucks by .25" and the front has hardly a one finger gap. After one day of having them installed I love 'em. The gap scares me a bit in the back because its tucking and is VERY close to the fender.

Now I have to get an alignment/camber kit. I've been told that it MUST be done within a week of lowering the car or I'll go through a brand new set of tires in a month...anyone validate this??????????? I've always had it aligned at the same time as lowering with my previous cars so I dont know. Thanks.

I've had the sprints on my lancer for nearly two years now and the ride height is great. I got the alignment done the same day i got the springs put on - u should get the alignment ASAP. Too bad there aren't any aftermarket springs though - my shocks are gone..

I had my springs put on by a friend. Did a really bad job and lets say he's not my friend anymore well to make a long story short i needed new front shocks within 2 months of having the springs in. I just took it to a shop they order me the KYB's and $800 later my car drives awesome. Also some of roads here is Rhode Island are like the original roads from 1800's so you can only imagine.

And how is the ride with those blown shocks?? I figure I'll have 1 month max before they say bye-bye...ride already seems bouncier than expected...

That's gotta be lower than 1.8"; my Lancer on adjustable CO's are at about that height. It looks more like 3 inches.

Thats what I thought too. The description on the site and on the box said 1.8" from OEM height. After seeing the OEM part I thought, 'ohhh crap because my stock springs sagged a bit it probably wont even look 1.8.' BOYYY was I wrong. It definitely appears lower than 1.8, in my opinion. HOWEVER, I am extremely happy with them so far. Ride is not as harsh as you would think.

And looking at your car it does appear as though we are pretty close in drop. Im even running on 35 series tires...
