Need to de-rice my Lancer

Greetings! First post here. Just bought an '02 Lancer ES on Wednesday, so I'm really new here. This is the first car I've had in about 15 years that was worth putting any effort into. I got a great deal (If you search all '02 Lancers on Carpoint, mine is the cheapest) and the car's in excellent shape, but now I need to un-do the monstrosity created by the previous owner.

First things first, the wing and stripes are coming off. After that I'd like to get rid of the ES on the trunk. Paint job will have to wait til next year. I do like the after-market tail lights (no pictures yet) and the grill is ok, but any suggestions where to go after that? I don't want to be an Evo imitator, but I would like to make the look as nice as it feels...

Horrid. Looks like they stole the hub caps off a VW Beetle.

wow , definatly get rid of the chrome trim, the wing, the wipers, windshield decal, and get rid of those cobwebs too.
Prety much bring it back to stock looking and start from scratch on what you want.

*Edit*
Since you are new here are some sites with parts for the lancer.

Accolade Sports Parts
Accolade Body Kits
Road Race Motorsports
CarbonTrix
RMR

"Uh oh.... spider sense tingling..... "

I mean really, it's not that bad, even good ol' Spidey needs a ride. He can't swing across New York ALL the time...

Man, as soon as I saw that, the old TV show theme came to my head... what was the previous owner thinking? I'll give him credit for getting rid of the thong grill, but man....

"Spider-man,
Spider-man,
Bought a Lancer,
Came from Japan,
Gave up Justice, for a while,
Tried to drag, the quarter mile,
Look out,
here comes the Spider-can"

Hope that paint job comes QUICK!

Interesting. They don't fit the lines of the car IMO.

Honestly you would have been better off NOT getting this car and paying 500$ for one that you didnt have to "fix" to make it stock.. just my .02

that wing is like a turbo except when it hits 2-3k rpm your car starts flying!
