cf fender question

i see that rrm has a set of cf front fenders, and i dig them. they would go nice with the cf evo VII hood and bumper. my dilemma is that i cant figure out to how to match the sideskirts to the body and the fenders, since the sideskirts would overlap a part of the cf fenders. i have thought about going without the skirts, but that just doesnt look right with the low lip on the front bumper. any suggestions?

The side skirt adheres to the side of the car using double sided adhesive and attaches with 3 screws from underneath and 2-3 screw on each side of the skirt. Drill small holes into the fender to attach the skirt properly in place. Walla ! Definitely get side skirts !

I think he is asking how to make the painted side skirt look good with the cf fender. It might look odd to see a little bit of color under the carbon fiber.

Well... you could paint Part of the fender the color of your skirt, howerver you like to make it flow better (like a stripe extending from the skirt and door going up and over your wheel well into a point, leaving you with the exposed carbon fiber, but your paint flowing over it)

you might ask something to photo chop something for you,

So you would take the stock metal fendor that is wrapped in CF only to paint it back to the stock colour again?

no, only paint part of it, like the paint was extending from the door over it (flame, stripe, tribal, however) leaving most of the fender exposed (just CF)

Keep it simple though if you do that

the pictures rice, but this is the only example i could find to help explain (imagine your car was red, and just forget about the stupid stars, and pretend you were talking about a hood, not a fender and ignore the stupid logo on the grill)

You might be able to wrap part of the side skirt in cf. Most fiberglass places sell cf.

so you are telling me that the cf is just an overlay? damn, i thought that they were a direct replacement for the oem fenders to lose a little weight. now that makes me wonder if i even want them although that is a nice pic that lancerman posted!
