painted dash
first you gotta take the thing that surrounds the guage cluster out(maybe the whole guage cluster....but i don't think so) then you can just pop it out...only 2 clips hold it in
Yeah that small sliver trim is easy to pop off, just have to unscrew two screws for the piece that is in front of the clear piece of the guage cluster, then put a finger in the back of the silver trim piece and pop it out. It has about an inch or so wire slack so you can unplug the mirror connector. As for the other large piece of silver trim its an extreme PAIN IN THE A**.
no...to take off the middle vents where the clock is you have to take out the entire silver dash piece. there are 2 screws under the AC and radio plastic piece....then starting from the guage cluster you have to pull it off. it is hard to get off. there are about 6 clips that hold it on. and be careful not to let it go as your taking it off cuz it will spring back and cut open your vinyl on your dash. that happened to me the first time i took it out cuz i didn't kno what i was doing.
Two days ago, I attempted to remove the console where the clock is at. I looked behind it and there are several clips. I couldnt get my hands in there so I gave up. I did paint the AC console though...
i hear if you take it off urself then all this stuff will go everywhere and its like hazardous to your health.. or you can just get a hacksaw. you also need a steering wheel hub

pisetup....you don't have to get your hands behind anything lol. i don't know that you were trying to do. all you have to do is take off the surround around the gauge cluster and you can start pulling it off from left to right. of course takeing out the 2 screws under the AC/radio panal first.
