Damn Screw!

ok i tried for about 30 min to take off the scre that holds the centerpiece to the hood on my oz spoiler, i wana drive a bit before i get my evo7 spoiler without one so i tried for ever and couldnt get the screw out, any sugestions? the other screws came out just fine but that one jeez, its because it has a really narroe place to put the plyers. any help?

you need a deep, thin-walled socket to fit inside and grip without stripping. You can buy them at any Sears, you you may have one in a socket set already. Just don't try pliers or anything like that.
Also, a few drops of liquid wrench or WD-40 about 10 minutes before trying might loosen things up.

The reason I said "no pliers" is because I can see in your pic that the nut is already showing signs of "tooth wear" from when the pliers slip.
You can also see that the opening itself has made contact with the pliers, removing a little paint from the edges and causing it to dimple.
Pliers will not give you the leverage you need. A socket is the best way to go.

yea man...its just some little clip retentioner things...just gently pry and wiggle the spoiler and itll just pop right out...had the same problem when i removed mine before i put on my aluminum wing. But just gently pry it off and youll be set man...

well i got it off, the whole spoiler that is, now all i have to do is wait for my evo7 spoiler to get here
i like how it looks without it FOR NOW that is till i get my cf spoiler that im DYING to get, $400 for the carbon fiber, sides painted, and shipping.
