It's empty as of right now... but I have an AEM UEGO wideband to go in there.

UPDATE!

I just got back from getting my Ebay H-Chassis Bar installed. Can't really say I notice a difference in handling, but I also haven't pushed it. Beyond that, I already have pretty much every suspension upgrade that RRM has (minus coilovers) along with the eibach pro-kit springs, so the car was pretty nimble already. Here are a few pics from the install:

Before:

After:

Before:

After:

More after shots..

As well, in order to get the passenger side control arm bolt out, the oil filter had to be removed. This is because the bolt is pretty long and simply would have brought up in it. Since the filter was off, I took the opportunity to snap a few extra shots of the GlowShift Oil Filter Sandwhich Adapter, and my oil pressure sensor install:

Finally, UPS dropped by today while I was out and tried to deliver my AEM UEGO wideband controller/guage. I'll be going out in 20 minutes or so to pick that up from their depot.. so I'll post a few pics of that later as well. As for getting the exhaust bung and the guage install finalized, it's gonna be a little bit.. maybe a week or two? This is mainly because, if you can see from the above pictures, my flex pipe, downpipe, and catalytic converter are in kinda rough shape... so, I'm gonna at least replace the downpipe and flex pipe before I install the guage. This makes sense since I'd only have to get it installed a second time if I let the pipe stay as-is and rust apart. I'll keep y'all updated!

how tight is the clearance between the bar and the exhaust? it looks like it might hit when/if it rattles.

and let me know where you find a downpipe seeing as how i'd like to replace mine but didn't want to buy a kamikaze/rpw header.

Nice install man I am also curious about the DP. I have the RRM headers and need a DP for it.

I'm figuring that the dealership should be able to get the downpipe/flex piece... that's what I'm gonna look into first at least.

going to go stock? that's just a waste IMO... i mean if you've got the cash that's cool, but why just buy stock? if you're going to get a stock dp i'd stick with that until it rusts out a second time.

i wonder if it would be possible to just purchase the kamikaze downpipe somewhere, i think their header is the same style as the RRM, so it MIGHT work.

UPDATE!

Just picked up my AEM UEGO wideband controller!! I can't wait to get it installed. Too bad I'm currently doing orientation for a new job which is taking up my Monday - Friday 8am-4pm time for the next couple of weeks. At least with that time taken up, I can round up a new downpipe and flex pipe to install the sensor into some fresh metal instead of the rusty crap that is there now :P As well, I have to buy some wiring pieces to fit a USB port onto the serial output of the guage for data logging.

Anyways, here's a few pics... I think the guage is a beauty. I'm definitely gonna have fun watching the values changing on it.

Page 1.... not a whole lot of detail on there about it, as I never had access to a digital camera at the time. There are a few pictures of the final product however, which I took afterwards. Needless to say, the install was a bit tedious. I had to modify the stock hard-lines by cutting off the original fittings, and putting on new ones that fit my new lines, etc... It's kinda too much to get into, but basically leave it to a professional, or make sure you have the right kit... because, if you cut the stock lines too much, they wont reach the mounting brackets, and you'll either have brake lines hanging off into your wheel well, or you will risk busting a line from the tension. I cut too much off of my driver side front line, and ended up having to release a white clip inside the engine bay which holds the brake line, and then bend the line itself in order to get enough slack in the wheel well to mount the new lines. Definitely worth it to upgrade... but not worth it if you aren't prepared and mess it up a lot.

As for the clutch line, the biggest thing was getting access to the slave cylinder behind the driver side front strut tower. My buddy Frank was nice enough to use his nimble wrenching skillz to get that done for me.

Anyways, I gotta head back to work... but, if you're gonna attempt the install by yourself, beware. I lucked out and managed to get enough slack in my stock lines to remount it in the driver side front, and from there I had learned my lesson and it went a lot easier. Good luck!

UPDATE!

Today I had some time, so I decided to hookup the wiring and install the AEM UEGO Wideband guage. The actual sensor is not welded into the exhaust yet, but I ran the wire under the shifter/handbrake console and left it there since I'm likely gonna have to remove the front driver seat in order to feed the line out through the stock oxygen sensor hole in the floor in that area. I never took a lot of pictures of the wiring itself... basically it only consisted of connecting a positve and negative wire, and the signal wire for data-logging. Since I already had the positive and grounds ready from the other guage installs, I just soldered into those. For the signal wire, I used some extra wiring to extend it down to the ashtray area for easy access and a place to tuck the wire away when it's not in use.

For the signal wire, I picked up a female 9-pin DB9 serial port, and a hood protector for that. Sorry I didn't go into hooking up the serial port in detail, but the AEM install instructions point out what pins to solder for signal and ground (pin 2 and 5 respectively). Onto the serial port, I connected a Serial -> USB conversion cable.

Umm... beyond that, there's not a whole lot to say... the other guage installs show the soldering/hookup procedure pretty well, so it was just a matter of placement. On to the pics!

Car interior gutted... (this seems to be a regular thing to do lately)

Previously installed guages: (I needed to fix up their mounting a bit... I hadn't used the included brackets before, so I finally installed those, and they definitely hold the guages in place better than electrical tape! )

AEM Guage:

Guage mounted:

Datalogging Wideband Signal Wire: (Already soldered to the serial port, put in hooded protector, and connected to the USB cable)

Signal wire placement:

Finished Product: (I guess 14.7 - 14.8 is the default reading when the sensor is disconnected)

And that's that!! Now to wait until I have the opportunity to get the sensor itself installed, and it'll be ECUFlash tuning time!!
