Flocked dash kit is in!

Apparently it has to sit in the sun for a while before the 'mat' sits down and contours to the dash. What can I say? It may not be pretty (damn airbag opening!) but it sure as hell works.

Sidenote; double sided velcro will not stick to the dash worth crap.

It's from carcover USA, this is the low pile carpet material, but if I had to i'd get the velour next time, this thing is too thick and looks funny

and i've bought some velcro tape that's worth it's salt (not that crap they gave me with the flocked dash kit)

here we go!

OK, few new things, completely blacked out interior (doors etc) and a new CD player. On the way: CF Grill & SPARCO Rally mudflaps

Might need those mudflaps, found some mud last night

As for the carpet on the dash, it's more function than anything (that's twice i've said that today...) because my contacts make me really sensitive to glare, and the dash in my car is absolutely terrible for this. I also tried to get a tint-strip for the top of the windshield, but i've been to 3 or 4 different places that are all sold out. Maybe they've made them illegal now or something? I dunno but this car doesn't have the tint at the top of the windshield like most cars do.

Lower? I'd love coilovers, but I do a bit too much off-roading, shall we say, to make lowering a fantastic idea

I recieved a surprise in the mail from Mr. Atilla, a CF grille!

All I have to do now is, when it stops raining, paint the inside of the hood where the grille attaches black so I don't have the ugly *** silver showing through the mesh

I also have the rally mud-flaps on, just in time for our 6 consecutive days of rain, yay

If you're wondering why the back ones are asymmetrical, the right side one had to be trimmed quire a bit to skirt around the muffler

Here's some updated grille pictures, since i've painted the backing portion of the hood black so that it doesn't show through the grille & painted the grill mesh silver to match the car.

I got (finally found a kit) a window tint strip/eyebrow/whateveryouwannacallit for my car and put it in. I don't know why this car has no tint strip...or even blue tint...at the top of the windshield, but anyway...now it does.

Also, to any would-be do-it-yourselfers, my mirror did not come off in the fashion described on here. Mine actually rotates 90 degrees clockwise and slides off, no tab b in direction c stuff. I wonder if maybe it's not the stock mirror...

anyway, here's pictures...

since ur such a diy guy... you should make a lip out of fiberglass, it would look way better... check out this forum for more info... http://www.fiberglassforums.com/ car is coming along pretty nicely.. but the flocked dash thingy is kinda out of place..
