Back From Iraq Projects

Whats up? So I'm sitting here in Iraq thinking up projects for the Lancer when I get back and looking for some guidance/opinions. I want to paint my headliner and pillars black, repaint my interior trim pieces, get a new steering wheel maybe, and some new seats. Now heres my questions. Is there any particular paint yall would reccomend for the headliner? Also, how hard is it to remove the headliner to paint it? What do you think of a yellow lancer with red and black seats and a red interior trim pieces? I'm sick of the yellow that the peices are now and am seriously considering going red. Let me know what yall think. I'll be sure to post some pics once I get back and get started.

First off, thank you for serving our country.

As for red interior pieces in a yellow lancer, I don't know if that would look good. How about using black seats and painting the trim a dark gunmetal color.

Thanks Kurt, I appreciate it man.
A gunmetal shade would be pretty cool too. Krylon makes some pretty cool shades like that I think. I'll definitely add that to my list of possibilities. The more I think about it, the red might not be the best choice.

Anymore suggestions guys?

Your lancers clean as hell man. Nice. I like the gunmetal in your car, but I think I want to go with something a little darker.

How much darker was the one at Autozone?
The British troops out here are cool as hell. You're uncle must be a bad *ss. The boys from Hereford (sp?) don't play, lol. Its definitely a good quote for life man. If you don't wager, you can't win.

i think it was called charcoal grey metallic. It wasn't massive darkness, it was like a 60% grey color. a few shades darker than what i used (which is about a 40% grey)

yeh my unlce is pretty cool. He fought the IRA and all that back in the day. I have a lot of friends who joined the Royal Army, they are cool guys. It's pretty funny, most civillian americans seem the think the British are a bunch of whimps, the only Americans i've met who have respect and know what the Royal Army are really like, are Americans in the military. lol

Charcoal grey sounds good. That or a nice gunmetal grey. Once I get back, I'll go color comparing and see what looks the best. I definitely tired of the color it is now. Plus I figured I might as well go Show, since I don't want spend the money on go, lol.

Its true though most Americans don't think much of the Brits toughness except for military guys. The British military's been busting heads since before we were a colony, lol. Plus we modeled alot of our own Special Operations Forces after the SAS.

sweet, make sure you get lots of pics uploaded when your done with your car

yeh i've read that a lot of the marines and SWAT teams where originally trained by the SAS. Makes sense though, the SAS train a lot of other countries military. I actually had someone try and tell me the British can't fight the other day, to which i replied "you ever seen soccer hooligans in action?" lol. I love living in the USA

Hopefully the British/US friendship will keep going, Despite popular belief most Brits love Americans. And from what i've seen the same goes the other way around.
